Northwest Wood Carvers Association |
The objectives of the wood carving club
are to provide a program of
demonstrations or discussions on an
aspect of wood carving at each regular
meeting; to encourage members to bring
their wood carvings to the meetings for
"Show & Tell"; to maintain a library of
books, magazines, patterns, videos and
other educational materials related to
wood carving for use of the membership;
to encourage members to display and
demonstrate wood carving at public
events and to give programs for school
children; to publish a monthly
newsletter, "NORTHWEST CHIPPINGS", and
to participate in and present any other
types of programs which will promote the
art of wood carving. |

Ward, Joe Olson, and
others the New
England Woodcarvers
Association moved to
Middlesex Community
College in Bedford,
Massachusetts. The
mission of this
organization
continues to be the
same. To promote and
encourage
woodcarving, wood
sculpture, and
whittling as art
forms and to
stimulate and
educate the
community in these
art forms. This
mission is being
done through
instruction,
exhibitions, and
displays both
private and public. |
